Surgical Illustration: Craniotomy for Tumor Removal

I was tasked with illustrating a procedure I observed in the operating room. I was given the constraint of illustrating it within 5 steps, alongside a patient positioning illustration. I did the initial sketches in procreate and then took my sketches into photoshop and rendered the complete illustration. I added labels and text in Illustrator.

This was the first illustration I’ve worked to this level in Photoshop and I learned a lot about how to create detailed textures and established the rendering style that I hope to further develop.
